Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
Somalia has faced significant challenges in the WASH sector due to ongoing conflicts, political instability, and natural disasters. Access to clean water sources, adequate sanitation facilities, and proper hygiene practices has been limited in many parts of the country.
African Relief Committee (ARC) has made significant strides in improving water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) conditions in communities. ARC has constructed water sources, such as wells and boreholes, to ensure access to clean water. ARC has also built and renovated toilets and latrines, promoting proper sanitation practices. ARC actively involve local communities in project planning and maintenance to ensure sustainability. ARC’s efforts have had a transformative impact on creating healthier and more sustainable communities.
