In a festive atmosphere reflecting Kuwait’s humanitarian and diplomatic spirit, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Muallimi, Supervisor of Institutions Representing Global Mercy in Somalia and Ethiopia, and Mr. Nabiyo Nasr Khadr, Director of the Ethiopian-Gulf Association, attended the 64th National Day and the 34th Independence Anniversary celebrations in Addis Ababa. They participated in the event upon the gracious invitation of His Excellency Mr. Nayef Al-Otaibi, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, alongside a distinguished gathering of diplomatic leaders and influential figures in the humanitarian field.
In his speech during the ceremony, Ambassador Al-Otaibi emphasized Kuwait’s humanitarian approach, highlighting the historical bilateral relations between the two countries and Kuwait’s developmental contributions in Ethiopia. He also praised the role of Global Mercy and other Kuwaiti charitable organizations in supporting development projects across Ethiopia.
On the sidelines of the event, the Ethiopian-Gulf Association, representing Global Mercy in Ethiopia, showcased its key achievements in humanitarian, social, and developmental fields, embodying Kuwait’s commitment to supporting needy communities.
The event, organized by the Kuwaiti Embassy, was marked by excellence, featuring discussions with the ambassador and consul on expanding humanitarian efforts to further strengthen Kuwait’s humanitarian mission on the international stage.
