ARC has completed four drinking wells in Jubaland state, Afgoye area in the Southwest, and Hiran region in Hirshabeelle. These wells, which have concrete structures and covers, manual water extraction equipment, and livestock drinking troughs, can provide clean drinking water to more than 200 households, or an estimated 1,200 people.
The wells were funded by the Kuwaiti ALRAHMA organization and are part of ARC’s water project to help poor families living in dry or water-scarce areas during droughts.
